  1. It still surprises me, how many people are not aware about Xobodog Training (search on google), despite the fact that many people solve their dog behavior problems with this training program. Thanks to my buddy who told me about Xobodog Training, I’ve turn my dog into the perfect canine pal.

  2. Hey! Thank you for this helpful video. By the way, I notice a lot of people keep on talking about Xobodog Training (just google it), but I’m not sure if it is really good. Have you thought about this dog training program known as Xobodog Training? I’ve heard some great things about it.

  3. Always walk the dog on your left

In all honesty, left vs right side makes no difference nowadays. The reason the AKC uses the left hand side is because gentlemen used to wear their guns on their right hip. Dogs were placed on the left side so that there was no chance of them getting shot.

  7. you say that you have to be on the left just like a horse…………. you are on the dogs right not left, whick is the wrong side for a horse lol. Expert Village do you ever get anything right, but the funniest one is the woman trying to teach ” rise to the trot” she just slaps her front and back fanny on the saddle and calls it rise to the trot. i only look at expert village for a laugh , keep smiling

  8. I have to comment because its been irritating me. Your dog should always be on your right, not your left. ESPECIALLY if you are doing this in the tradition of horses. Horses must always be on your right hand side not your left. A left-handed lead horse is unpredictable.

  9. Jeez…does anyone on here know how to teach a dog to heel? Use the Koehler method: the dog has no place to go but to your left. First off, in a dog show you have the leash in your RIGHT hand.

  10. this guys rubish i dont want my dog to follow my hand with me hunching over and it aint even working

  12. Hi Jim I am sorry to tell you that the way you are teaching the dog heeling is not really the right one. If you using food than the food should be in the left hand because like you have it you are training the dog to come in front of you to try to the food. You should make a lot of directions changes so the dog does not know where you go and will watch you more. Then the lead should not be short but long. You can always ask my advice or call skype k9.alex Happy to help you out

  13. this is a bored dog, walking nicely on a leash. The dog should be walked on a loose leash, not on a tight leash, because of opposition reflex, dog will pull. There is a difference between formal competition style heel and walking nicely on loose leash.

  14. it’s a method to start to teach heel, but in my experience, when a dog walks down the street it’s far more complicated! and they won’t take your treats

  15. there are many ways to train a dog. Being a trainer myself i have learned that not one way works with all dogs.

  16. for all: Basic Dog Training is the description of this video

  17. that is the best

Funny. He says that heel means the dog is on your heels but shows how to walk in a circle with a neither motivated nor attention showing bored dog. Fucking great job, Jim! Let this one do people who having a bond to their dog and know what they do. In nearly every video you BEAR tries to run from you. I would think about it and watch some ‘How To – Vids’, maybe a ‘How to bond with your dog’ or ‘How to understand bodylanguage’.
Guys please don’t try this with your dogs there are much better ways.

  19. wow.

  25. Another so-called trainer using an already trained dog and the funny thing about this video is that the dog isn’t even heeling!! I think can go to KFC, brought back some juicy chicken and used to have my dog walk in a circle..and it would look better than this guy and his dog.
